We ask participants to reflect on the difference between travel and migration. We also gage the effectiveness of tourism in creating jobs and providing an alternative to migration and review the role that foreign residents play in educating visitors. Does tourism displace local people or encourage them to migrate? We'll be looking at that as well as options for investing in tourism training and infrastructure a viable outlet for migrant remittances.

How long will the conference run?
The dialogue will run over the course of several months with the most active posting taking place in March and April 2007.

How do I register?
For those who wish to be active members of the forum, registration is a two-step process, including filling out the registration form and creating an ID on the Planeta Forum.
